Microsoft
Beginner Level Microsoft Courses
Excel
Excel for beginners is aimed at staff who will need to use basic functions within Excel spreadsheets. The course contents are as follows:
- Creating and recording information in a basic table
- Basic formatting (text, fill colours, cell outline)
- Adding/deleting/moving rows and columns
- Using sort and filter
- Using Autosum
- Creating a simple graph
- Creating, adding, moving and copying worksheets
- Basic workbook protection

Outlook for beginners is aimed at staff who will need to use basic functions within Outlook. The course contents are as follows:
- Sending an email
- Searching the global address book
- Basic inbox organisation & management
- Email signatures
- Attaching files
- Booking a calendar meeting

PowerPoint
PowerPoint for beginners is aimed at staff who will need to create simple PowerPoint presentations. The course contents are as follows:
- Navigating the interface: ribbons, tabs and groups
- Creating and managing slides
- Adding, duplication and deleting slides
- Using slide layouts and themes
- Inserting and formatting images, shapes and icons
- Applying themes and templates
- Using the Slide Master
- Inserting videos and audio clips
- Applying slide transitions
- Adding animations to text and objects
- Using Presenter View
- Tips for effective presentation delivery
- Presenting via Microsoft Teams

Rio Community Admin
Rio Community Administrator courses are for staff who have never been Rio trained or have not used the system for 12 months or more.

Rio EICT
Rio EICT courses are for staff who work for the Early Intervention Community Team and other associated teams such as the Urgent Care Bureau.
Some dates for Rio EICT courses are listed with a course type of TBC. The courses will flex depending on who requests the training first, e.g. a Clinical request is received then the course becomes a Clinical course.

Rio Inpatients
Rio Inpatient courses are for staff who work in Inpatient settings e.g. Hospitals, Intermediate Care Units and Respite Care Units.
Some dates for Rio Inpatient courses are listed with a course type of TBC. The courses will flex depending on who requests the training first, e.g. a Nurse request is received then the course becomes a Nurse course.

NEW Total Mobile E-Learning
If you are unable to attend face to face training a Total Mobile e-Learning course is available via the Trust's Virtual Campus (Moodle). The training should take approximately 2 hours to complete.
Note: you will need to log into the Virtual Campus in order to access the e-Learning. Please read and follow the instructions carefully.
