Booking non-emergency transport
Non-emergency patient transport is provided by West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Patients with a medical need for transport that meet the eligibility criteria will need to book their transport by phoning:
The service is provided using a universal set of local standards and eligibility criteria, developed by Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Birmingham, Sandwell and Solihull. These are applicable to all NHS healthcare services.

Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme
Not eligible for patient transport? If you are referred to the NHS for specialist treatment or diagnostic tests by your doctor, dentist or other health professional, you may be able to claim a refund of reasonable travel costs under the Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS).
