Feedback from our settings

From a survey carried out during the Summer term of 2019:

  • 100 per cent of settings would recommend BCHC Plus SLT service to a setting with similar needs.
  • 100 per cent of settings rated the overall quality of the service as ‘excellent’ (76 per cent) or ‘good’ (24 per cent).

‘The SLT is an asset to the school SEN team.  The quality of her written reports is fabulous in assessing the children’s needs and providing them with the correct support and intervention which is needed for each individual child.’

‘The professional relationship I have built up with [SLT] over the last 3 years has been fantastic. We meet regularly to discuss case load and talk through targets to support the children. She also regularly meets with parents to provide detailed progress and resources to support their children at home. [SLT] also works closely with the teachers and sets targets and resources for them to use in class.’

‘Children are seen in a timely manner, reports are thorough and [SLT] is always on hand to support staff in delivering/resourcing the targets. I feel it gives us an upper hand, so to speak, in terms of our ability to address the needs of our children – compared to settings that do not have this additional service.’

‘[The SLT] has been brilliant at coming alongside staff and training, empowering and encouraging them to make interventions meaningful. She is very approachable but knows her stuff and her recommendations are always helpful.  I also love how organised [SLT] is - she is diligent with paperwork and appointments and I know I can trust her.’

‘[The SLT] has offered brilliant support and advice to our school since starting to come here at the beginning of the school year. She has understood the needs of our children and school perfectly and always been available to offered additional support via phone or email before or after visits. She has an excellent way with the children she works with, putting many at ease who often struggle to communicate well with unfamiliar adults.’

Our patients and their carers and families are the reason we're here, so we want to hear your views about the Trust and our services.
