Trust Achieves Veteran Aware Status

Birmingham Community Healthcare has been awarded the Veteran Covenant Healthcare Alliance’s Veteran Aware Accreditation, meaning that we are now a Veteran Aware Trust.

Veteran Aware accreditation aims to ensure that patients from the Armed Forces Community are not disadvantaged as a result when accessing healthcare. In parallel, it also aims to support the Armed Forces as an employer and ensure this community does not experience disadvantages because of their service.

This achievement is a testament to our promise to support the Armed Forces Community, including Veterans, reservists and their families, and the result of our hard work and commitment to the framework of eight standards that imbue Armed Forces Covenant principles and how they relate to the NHS.

Our patients and their carers and families are the reason we're here, so we want to hear your views about the Trust and our services.
