In celebration of 75 years of the NHS, BCHC Charity funded a photography project as part of their Arts in Health initiative which aims to showcase and celebrate the diversity of Team BCHC staff.

Marking the 75th anniversary of the NHS on Wednesday, 5 July, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales surprised NHS staff and patients from across the UK with a very special NHS Big Tea party.

Thanks to a generous donation administered through the Charities Aid Foundation, we have been able to create and deliver a far-reaching, accessible, and participatory arts and cultural programme for both colleagues and patients. The aim is to increase engagement, reduce social isolation and boost morale following the pandemic. 

Thanks to generous donations from the Neighbourhood Network Schemes based in Yardley, Hodge Hill and Sutton Coldfield, the Eric W Vincent Trust Fund, the Community District Nursing team charity fund, and a donation in memory of Mr Alan Wilson, BCHC Charity has been able to provide winter support to vulnerable older patients on the District Nursing caseload.  

BCHC recently launched its International Staff Forum with an event held at Birmingham City Football Club that provided staff with the opportunity to network and communicate how the Trust can support them going forward.

Ground-breaking partnership in vanguard of long Covid research and care

The Paediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) Advice Line commenced in September 2019, and provides families and professionals the opportunity to speak directly with an Occupational Therapist for immediate advice and support.
