Our journey to become Fit for 2022 - and beyond

At our annual members' meeting, we took a look back at our journey of development as an organisation from agreeing a new set of shared values in 2018. We called it our 'Fit for 2022' programme as we looked ahead to Birmingham's role as the host city for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

In setting our goals and objectives, we could not have predicted the additional challenges that were to come with the Covid-19 pandemic, which saw many services suspended while staff were deployed to the areas of greatest needs to play our part in supporting communities through a once-in-a-lifetime health emergency.

As well as looking back, we looked forward with anticipation at the challenges and opportunities ahead, with a new five-year strategy building on what we have already achieved together.

Take a look at this short video to see some of the highlights of the past five years.
