Sights set on new goals as sharpshooter Shannie gets set to run with the Wolves!

Programme support officer Shannie Jennings has her sights set on silverware after signing for Wolverhampton Wanders for the coming football season.

The midfield maestro is relishing the challenge of competing in the Women’s National League Midlands Division and is drawing inspiration from the achievements of England’s Lionesses at this summer’s World Cup in France.

“The positive attention that the Lionesses have brought is fantastic – there’s a real buzz around the women’s game at the moment,” said the 26 year-old, who works in adult community services at Moseley Hall.

“I’m really happy to have signed, it’s a new challenge and I believe we’ve got the potential to win the league and get promoted so it’s a great time to join the club.

With previous coaching experience at West Bromwich Albion, Shannie has recently made the switch to Birmingham City to work with the next generation of stars in their girls’ academy.
