School health support service contract

BCHC is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the contract for the new Birmingham school health support service.

Discussions to finalise details are still ongoing with Birmingham City Council, commissioners of the service.

BCHC chief executive Richard Kirby said: "I am delighted that BCHC has been awarded the contract for the Birmingham school health support service following a competitive procurement process led by Birmingham City Council.

"I'd like to thank all those involved in developing a successful bid and for ensuring that this important service stays with the Trust.

"We firmly believe that having this public health service sitting alongside BCHC’s wider portfolio of services for children, young people and families is the best thing for the city of Birmingham.

"The Trust is in dialogue with Birmingham City Council to agree a start date for the new service.

"The team deserves to celebrate this news before we begin to work through the transition from the current school health advisory service to the new specification.”
